Description
The ATM350U UniMount system solves a real problem for horn players: how to mic an instrument that moves constantly without the mic drifting off-axis. At its core is the ATM350a, a cardioid condenser capsule engineered to handle high sound pressure levels and deliver a clear, evenly balanced tone across brass, saxophone, and similar instruments.
What sets this system apart is the mounting hardware. The included AT8491U universal clip-on mount grips securely to an instrument’s bell, while the AT8490 gooseneck holds the microphone exactly where you position it. There’s no sagging or bouncing mid-performance, even during aggressive playing or stage movement.
- ATM350a cardioid condenser capsule with high-SPL handling
- Cardioid pickup pattern reduces side and rear bleed for tighter isolation
- Switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter on the in-line power module cuts low-end rumble
- AT8491U universal clip-on mount for secure bell attachment
- Flexible AT8490 gooseneck for precise, stable positioning
- Includes AT8468 violin mount with hook-and-loop fastener
- Protective carrying case included
Because the cardioid pattern naturally rejects off-axis noise, this system holds up well both in the studio and on a busy stage, where bleed from other instruments or monitors is a constant concern. The 80 Hz filter gives you an extra layer of control when low-frequency stage rumble threatens clarity. Pair the isolation and mounting stability with the included violin adapter and case, and you’ve got a mic system ready to travel and perform reliably gig after gig.
