Aston’s signature wave-form mesh head does double duty: it protects the capsule from knocks (flexing under impact and springing back undamaged) while also providing off-axis rejection to keep unwanted room noise out of your takes. Built into that same head is an integral pop filter—a randomly woven stainless steel mesh that tames plosives at the source and blocks electromagnetic interference, without needing an external screen. The mesh cage lifts off entirely for washing.
Custom-moulded end caps house an integrated XLR connector and stand thread adaptor, letting the mic sit directly on a stand thanks to its internal shock absorption—no separate shock mount required. Each chassis is tumbled for up to four hours for a durable, distinctive finish, then engraved with Aston’s branding. Inside, a balanced blend of discrete and integrated circuitry, along with non-linear voltage/current rectification, keeps amplification controlled and the audio clean.
