Description
The Aston Origin pairs a hand-selected, one-inch gold evaporated capsule with transformer-less, high-end circuitry to give you a cardioid condenser that’s direct, smooth and honest on tape. It’s at home on vocals and acoustic guitar, but flexible enough to handle most instruments you point it at.
- Wave-form mesh head: Aston’s signature shock-resistant head flexes under impact and springs back without damage, while also offering some off-axis rejection to keep unwanted room artefacts out of your take.
- Integrated pop filter: A mesh-knit stainless steel weave built into the head cuts plosives at the source, resists rust, shields against electromagnetic interference, and can be removed and washed.
- Custom end caps: Moulded caps house the XLR connector and an interchangeable stand thread, letting you mount the mic directly to a stand thanks to its strong internal shock absorption—and making servicing simple.
- Tumbled chassis finish: Each body is tumbled for up to four hours for a durable, distinctive look, then engraved with Aston’s ‘The art of performance’ mantra.
- Circuit design: A balanced blend of discrete and integrated electronics, harmonised staging from phantom power input to capsule voltage bias, and non-linear rectification for controlled, clear amplification.
- Eco-conscious packaging: Simple, protective, reusable materials—no unnecessary waste.
