The PR 35 takes the celebrated PR 30 element and refines it further, wrapping it in a sorbothane shock mount for cleaner handling and stand noise rejection. It’s a natural fit for broadcast chains, studio recording, and live reinforcement where a consistent, uncolored 40 Hz–18 kHz response matters more than gimmicks.
Inside, a large 1 1/2″ aluminum voice coil with low mass and a purpose-built magnet structure drive the sound, while an integrated hum-bucking coil keeps the mic quiet even parked near video monitors or other EMI sources. Heil’s phasing plug uses evenly spaced rear ports so off-axis sound arrives out of phase, shaping a true cardioid pattern with minimal proximity effect and excellent rejection directly behind the capsule — off-axis coloration is virtually nonexistent.
Because it’s dynamic, the PR 35 handles very high SPLs without flinching and needs no phantom or DC power to operate, making setup simple wherever you’re tracking or broadcasting.
