Description
RØDE’s original NT1 became a studio staple for its warm, detailed sound and whisper-quiet self-noise. The 5th Generation keeps that beloved sonic character intact while rebuilding the mic from the ground up for modern workflows. At its heart is the HF6 1-inch true condenser capsule, delivering a smooth cardioid frequency response, strong sensitivity, and the headroom to handle demanding sources without strain.
What sets this generation apart is RØDE’s patent-pending Dual Connect system, giving you both XLR and USB outputs from a single mic. Track through a traditional interface for analog warmth, or plug straight into your computer via USB and take advantage of onboard 32-bit float digital conversion — effectively eliminating clipped takes regardless of how hot your source gets. Ultra-high-resolution A/D conversion runs up to 192kHz, and built-in APHEX DSP gives you processing options right at the source.
At just 4dBA of self-noise, RØDE claims this as the quietest studio condenser microphone available, making it ideal for capturing subtle vocal nuance, delicate acoustic instruments, or any performance where noise floor matters. It’s equally comfortable on lead vocals, voiceover, guitar, piano, or drum overheads.
This silver finish version pairs a rugged aluminium chassis with premium finishing for long-term durability in the studio.
