Built on the same acclaimed element found in the PR 30, the Heil Sound PR 35 adds a shock mount and refined internal engineering to deliver a smooth, flat response across a wide frequency range — ideal for broadcast, recording, and live sound reinforcement.
At its core is a large 1 1/2″ aluminum voice coil paired with a specialized magnet structure, giving the PR 35 the headroom to handle extreme sound pressure levels without distortion or overload. A hum-bucking coil, carefully wound and positioned, lets you work close to video monitors without picking up unwanted buzz or hum. Heil’s precision phasing plug uses evenly spaced ports to capture rear audio out of phase, producing a genuinely linear cardioid pattern that tames proximity effect while keeping articulation crisp across the 40 Hz–18 kHz range. No phantom or DC power is needed to get that signature smooth tone.
A hidden low-frequency filter switch — accessible with a small screwdriver or paperclip — lets you roll off bass at 80 Hz (-6 dB/octave) when needed, or open up the full 40 Hz–18 kHz response by leaving it in the up position. Off-axis rejection is strongest directly behind the mic at 180 degrees, so background noise and coloration stay out of your signal.
