Description
Built for run-and-gun video work and broadcast field recording, this Audio-Technica stereo shotgun microphone pairs two independent condenser elements — a line-cardioid capsule and a figure-of-eight capsule — inside a compact, lightweight housing designed to sit unobtrusively on a camera mount.
- Independent line-cardioid and figure-of-eight condenser elements for true M-S stereo capture
- Switchable output modes: non-matrixed M-S, plus two internally-matrixed left/right stereo modes, selectable via a single switch
- Switchable low-frequency roll-off to tame handling noise, wind rumble, or unwanted low-end bleed
- Compact, lightweight build suited to on-camera or boom-pole use in the field
- Ships with a 0.61 m (24″) cable, 5-pin XLRF to two standard 3-pin XLRM connectors, for direct connection to dual mic inputs
- RoHS compliant — free of substances restricted under the EU hazardous substances directive
Because the M-S and matrixed modes are switch-selectable right on the mic, you can adjust stereo width on location without extra outboard gear, then decode further in post if you’re working in M-S. It’s a practical choice for documentary crews, ENG shooters, and sound recordists who need dependable stereo imaging without adding bulk to their rig.
