Description
The Audio-Technica PRO35 is a compact cardioid condenser designed to clip directly onto instruments — sax bells, tom rims, brass horns, percussion shells — wherever a mic needs to sit close to a loud, unpredictable source without choking. Its cardioid pattern rejects off-axis noise from the sides and rear, so it isolates the instrument it’s attached to rather than bleeding in everything around it, which matters on crowded stages and busy sessions alike.
Because it’s a fixed-charge back plate permanently polarized condenser, the PRO35 handles extreme sound pressure levels gracefully, making it a favorite for horn players and drummers who need accurate tone without distortion at high volume. The extended frequency response keeps the details of a performance intact, and the included AT8418 UniMount clip locks the capsule in place for repeatable positioning while adding shock protection.
This unit terminates with a locking 4-pin connector configured for Audio-Technica UniPak body-pack wireless transmitters, with a 55-inch cable running from the capsule. It ships with the AT8538 power module and a soft protective pouch, housed in Audio-Technica’s M12 case style.
This listing is for a demo unit — gently used, fully functional, and ready for stage or studio work at a lower price point.
