The Countryman ISOMAX 2 is a tiny condenser capsule engineered to go where full-size mics can’t — inside instruments, taped into stage sets, or rigged for film and TV — without sacrificing sound quality. This M2CP6FF10 configuration is the cardioid version, terminated with 10 feet of cable and an XLR3 male connector for a straightforward hardwired hookup.
What sets the ISOMAX 2 apart is its frequency-independent directionality: many competing miniature mics drift toward omnidirectional pickup as frequencies drop, but this capsule holds its cardioid shape across the band. That means more consistent rejection of unwanted sound and greater gain before feedback, even in demanding live or theatrical environments. Its open, full-range response stays low-distortion at the extreme sound pressure levels found inside instrument bodies, so what you capture stays natural and true to source.
