Description
The Earthworks M-30 belongs to the M Series, a line that’s become a go-to choice for engineers who need dependable, budget-friendly reference microphones without sacrificing measurement accuracy. This particular unit is a demo model, giving you access to Earthworks’ renowned time-domain and frequency-response precision at a reduced cost.
Built around an omnidirectional condenser capsule, the M-30 delivers a flat, wideband frequency response with an exceptionally fast impulse response and minimal handling noise. It stays consistent across changing temperature and atmospheric conditions, making it a trustworthy tool for loudspeaker design, sound system tuning and troubleshooting, room acoustics analysis, and any scenario calling for a true free-field measurement mic.
It’s widely used alongside industry-standard measurement platforms including SMAART, MLSSA, Spectrafoo, TEF, and RTA, as well as systems from dbx and DEQX. The M-30 meets or exceeds ANSI Type 1 and applicable IEC 61094 standards, and ships with its own calibration chart detailing individually measured open-circuit sensitivity and frequency response curve.
