Description
Some micing jobs call for a mic nobody notices. The Peavey PSM 3 boundary microphone is built for exactly that — a compact, half-cardioid condenser designed to lay flat on tables, floors, lecterns, or stages and pick up sound with even, natural response. Rather than fighting with stands or booms, you simply place the PSM 3 where it needs to be and let its back-electret capsule do the work.
Its half-cardioid polar pattern uses the boundary surface itself to reinforce pickup, which makes it well suited to panel discussions, theater floor micing, choir risers, or any application where discretion matters as much as sound quality. Power comes from standard 9-52 volt phantom, so it drops right into existing mixer or interface setups without extra gear.
The PSM 3 ships in black and includes a windscreen and mounting bracket, giving you what you need to get it in place and protected from breath and handling noise right out of the box.
