Description
The AT8010 is built around a fixed-charge back plate condenser element with a true omnidirectional pattern, so it captures sound with equal sensitivity from every direction rather than favoring a single source. That makes it a natural choice for interview setups where multiple speakers sit around the mic, for capturing audience reaction, or for picking up the full blend of a musical ensemble without the coloration that comes from off-axis rejection.
Response stays smooth and extended across the audible spectrum whether sound arrives on-axis or off, which is why it also works well on group vocals, string sections, cymbal overheads, acoustic guitar, and piano. A low sensitivity to popping and overload adds durability in close-mic or high-SPL situations.
- Omnidirectional pickup for interviews, ambience, and ensemble recording

- Resistant to popping and overload
- Runs on 11-52V phantom power or a single 1.5V AA battery (roughly 1200 hours typical)
- Selectable flat or 80 Hz roll-off response
- RoHS compliant
