Description
RØDE’s NT1 has been a studio staple for years, and the 5th Generation keeps that same warm, silky tone while rebuilding the mic around modern workflows. At its core sits the HF6 1-inch true condenser capsule, delivering a smooth frequency response with the sensitivity and SPL handling engineers expect from a large-diaphragm cardioid design.
What sets this generation apart is the patent-pending Dual Connect output, giving you both XLR and USB from a single microphone. Plug in via USB and you get onboard analog-to-digital conversion up to 192kHz, plus a world-first 32-bit float digital output — record without worrying about setting gain levels or hitting clipped peaks. Onboard DSP also brings APHEX audio processing into the signal chain for extra polish before it ever reaches your DAW.
Noise floor is exceptionally tight too, rated at just 4dBA, making this one of the quietest studio condensers available. Whether you’re tracking vocals, voiceover, acoustic guitar, piano, or drums and percussion, it handles the job with the same versatility that made the original NT1 a go-to.
Built with a rugged aluminium body and finished in black, it’s designed and manufactured at RØDE’s Sydney facility.
